Stackable Runes
Make runes stackable in storage
With 8 characters on my account and the potential for at least 16 heroes for each character, it would mean to properly outfit all heroes with runes I would need 5 runes/toon x 16 toons x 8 characters = 640 runes.
I farm a lot to get funds, and come across runes as I salvage. It would be more frugal to make runes stack, and decrease storage space requirements. This would allow a player to use farmed runes for heroes, rather having to sell and rebuy, which of course will take more farming.
Farming is a grind, and there should be a better way of storing the rewards. Making runes stackable in storage would help immensely.

I thought of that problem too. Here is my idea how to make Runes and Inscriptions stackable.
There should be an option to "customize" Runes and Upgrades for your own use, which would then be stackable.
I have lots of "Strenth and Honor"-Inscription that I store for my own weapons. Would be nice to stack them.
Selling a weapon with a "customized" Upgrade would still be possible, but the weapon could only be used by someone else, if the "customized" Upgrade is replaced.

no as it would only allow hoarding to inflate farmers prices.
before you say that would not happen here is proof it would.
superior absorbs were 100k even after Anet made all runes salvagable and stayed at 100k .
Anet finally announced that since the price hadnt come down they were increasing the drop rate 3x.
they were offering them 30 at a time here at guru and a firesale in the game as well
the price dropped 50k before the increased drop rate runes had a chance to drop and be salvaged and sold.
that was hoarders taking up 1 slot per rune to do it.
if they could have stacked them sup absorbs would have been 100k plus 10 ectos
so no and again no

I still don't see why people have storage problems. Quit being packrats, your troubles are over. You could make a 'mule' character, who's sole purpose is to hold your stuff. People want armor slots, rune slots, insignia slots, weapon slots, I store it all just fine and dandy within my four boxes and material slot. Two boxes I just decided to label as dye and minipet, but even if I needed room, I'd trash them both. I hold stuff for other people who need room. So, no.

Sorry, but no. The Superior Vigor runes would be the next Ectos.
I won't disagree with a special slot in storage able to fit some of them, looking like stacked, but not really, but never to make them stackable like lockpicks.

Absolutely not needed. There's no need for keeping any runes in storage, not to mention multiples of the same one. It wouldn't save any space...
I hoard tons of various stuff but I don't remember when I've had 2 of the same rune anywhere in inventory or storage... bah even better - I rarely keep ANY runes - they all go straight to the trader and I buy them from him when needed, they're not worth any precious storage slots at all.
And the best way of storing excess runes is heroe's armors - they don't break. I've had ones with multiples of Sup Vigors on them in the past (which was a horrible investment when price dropped 36k->13k xD).
Inscriptions and mods however should stack. Either that or they should get an NPC trader which runes already got.

besides, whats everyones problem with 'hoarding', having ~30 sup absobrtions was method of storing gold beyond 1 milion cap when ecotes were unstable, not way to manipulate trade, 50k drop in price was just and only because of 1-minute offloading of them to traders, they soon after jumped back to ~80-90k
besides, i find idea of costing +ectoes funny.
ectoes 'hoarding' in stacks never hurt anyone either.

/signed ugh 2 tabs of my storage are filled with radiants, survivors, vitea's and attunements.
And putting them temporarily on hero armor is not an option because i have 7 characters and i hate searching which weapon was on which hero.

IFF they give us the chance to customize it /signed for customized runes.
We're tired of asking for increased storage and it looks like it doesn't matter how good an idea seems to be STORAGE/TRADING will NEVER be improved again : (
IMO, almost anything that doesn't have variable stats should be allowed to stack. Inscriptions should stack too, but of course only with those that share the same stat.
My most wanted list:
1. Storage improvements.
2. Storage improvements.
3. Some more Storage improvements.

You don't need to be a packrat to have storage problems. Create one char of every profesion. Collect just a couple green weapon sets for each, a couple armor sets for each. Keep around a few of those salvages runes and insignias that one of your other chars will use. Keep the collector drops that you intend to cash in for a collector weapon for any of your chars. You'll run into storage problems halfway through the profesions. All it takes is two or three armor sets + two or three weapon sets to start having problems picking up all the stuff that drops for you.

This is exactly what happens to me. I don't even keep more than one armor set on my characters, although my ele and derv are about to need it. By the time you've saved and salvaged your upgrades, your storage is GONE. Especially if you're a mini collector like me.
